10 things to do on valentines day!

Valentines day. Some hate it, some love it and the rest just wait for the half-price chocolate. You can probably guess which one I am, right? What are you doing for valentines day this year? Just get out of a relationship? Out of luck this year or just love the single life?
Whatever the case, it's no excuse to neglect the most loving day of the year. Here is a list of a few things you can do on valentines day to pamper yourself, or to make others smile.

1. Share Love
Get back in touch with old friends; write letters to loved ones, giving to others is a way of giving to yourself as well. Just imagine the smile on their faces when they see that you have tried to get into contact with them. It will make their day. Promise.

2. Eyebrow Threader
As far as pampering yourself goes, you can get yourself a nice eyebrow threader, they generally aren't expensive and the right lady can add a boost in confidence. If you are a bit apprehensive, then show the threader a picture of what you would like your brows to look like and voila! Perfect brows!

3. Treat Yourself Spa
If you're pockets feel heavy, treat yourself to a high-end spa, they give you soft robes to change into, play soft music and have relaxing aromatherapy. You'll really feel pampered afterwards. Take a loved one; your mum, or best friend. You will both have an amazing time and they will love you for it!

4. Try Something New
Take yourself to dinner, try something you've never done before (like indoor sky-diving). Grab your girlfriends and try something daring. You might grow to love it!

5. See What's Around You
Take a walk instead of taking the car. Stroll down to your local park and sit on the benches and watch the world go by for a while. Being outside in the fresh air never did anyone any harm, so why don’t you go and enjoy it! You never know you might make some new friends.

6. Chill Out
However, if you're not feeling too up for getting out of the house and looking for a lay in bed day, what's better than getting all your friends together, ordering your favourite takeaway and having a TV show marathon on Netflix?!

7. Girls Night In
Nothing beats a good home spa and a luxurious scented bath. See if your can head over to Lush, or if you're on a budget tk max/tj max and pick up some bargain bath bomb deals. Choose you're fave bottle of wine and a Thai takeout, polish it up with a comfy set of pj's and a couple of films and you're in heaven for the night. Us girls have a hard life and we all need a little girly pamper night from time to time!

8. Catch A Flick
If you've never done it before - especially if you've never done it before, go watch a movie at the cinema by yourself, it can feel very empowering and you'll have a great time. Your own company is just as good as anyone else's!

9. Shopping Therapy
Calling all shopaholics out there! There's usually great deals on this time of year, treat yourself to something nice even if it is slightly over the budget, you deserve it!

10. Alternatively... Half Price Chocolate
Feb 15th is half price chocolates day, yes that means the day after Valentine's you can treat yourself even further by indulging to your hearts desire in delicious mouth-watering chocolate! Pop down to Thorntons for some chocolatey delight.
Valentine's day is not just about loving you're other half, it's about loving your half - yourself. Treat it as a day to pamper yourself and boost your confidence. See if you can take something from this post and use it positively. What will you be doing on valentines day?xox
