Naked VS W7

Recently I received the 'W7 In The Buff Natural Nudes' palette as a christmas present from one of my friends. When I opened it up I seen that the colours were a lot similar to the Naked palette by Urban Decay so I thought I would see if this palette would be a good dupe for Naked!

I found 10 similar shades within the two palettes. Half way through I realised that there were colours on the back of the W7 palette so for the first 3 pictures the colours I counted the shades from left to right.

The colour on the left is 'Buff' from W7 and the colour on the right is 'Virgin' from Naked. For this particular colour I feel that Virgin has a better pigmentation and would be better for highlighting than Buff.

These gold colours aren't identical but I do love them both. 'Half Baked' from Naked is definitely more gold than 'Camel' from W7, however Camel has a slightly more pinky undertone which I still love.

'Silk' from W7 has more silvery undertones while "Sin' is peachy/pink.

'Chocolate' from W7 is a little more darker  than 'Naked' but nonetheless these are still beautiful matte shades.

'Topaz' from W7 has a little more shimmer than 'Buck' does however the colour pay-off of both of these colours are great!

'Hustle' from Naked is a little darker than W7's 'Thunder' however they are almost identical.

It is clear that 'Smog' from Naked has better pigmentation than 'Earth' does but it is still a lovely lighter shimmery shade.

'Sidecar' from Naked and 'Wave' are also almost identical, but 'Sidecar' does have a better colour pay-off.

'Gunmetal' by Naked is a bit more silver than 'Storm' but they are both comparable shades.

'Creep' from Naked and 'Onyx' from W7 are also almost identical, although 'Creep' does have more sparkle.

The W7 palette ranges from £5.00 to £7.00 depending on where you buy it and the Naked palette ranges from £33.00 to £40.00. I definitely think that the W7 Nudes palette is well worth the money and is really good if you maybe can't afford the Naked palette. Although the colours were sometimes faded, some primer may be able to solve that problem! Do any of you guys have the Naked or W7  palette? What are your thoughts on the palette(s)?xox

  3. I have the Naked 2 palette and I love it! In the buff is definitely a great buff for naked palettes. But nothing beats the original really. :) There is another naked replicate called MUA Undressed palette. It's four pounds! :)

  6. those look remarkably similar, and its not like you walk around with a sign that says "naked palette"," I think anyone would have a hard time telling the difference.

  15. Great post, I think that the W7 palette is great for those who can't afford the naked palette or who don't want to spend that much money on eye shadows. I don't own the 1st naked palette but I do have the second one. I have tried a few w7 products before and was quite impressed with them, I have never tried any of their eye shadows but I might give their palettes a go. :)
