Clinique Chubby Sticks - Review

It is officially spring time, which, is good and bad. It is good because of the bright blue skies and warm sun, but is also very bad as it means I am getting closer to my exams and this good weather makes me want to cry while I sit in my small room and learn all about the Russian Revolution haha!

Anyway aside from studying,  I have been trying out a few new products recently from Clinique. If you don't know already, I love the Clinique Moisture surge so I thought since I loved it so much that I would go ahead and try some other products!

I have had my eye on the chubby sticks for quite a while, but always walked past them after trying out a few colours on the back of my hand. However after lots of contemplating I finally bit the bullet and bought two very different colours.

I got them in the colours; Grandest Grape
                                                    Woppin' Watermelon

Woppin' Watermelon is the lighter pink shade and I think this colour is perfect for summer and springtime! It easily glides onto the lips and does not dry them out at all while leaving a pretty pink tint.
Grandest Grape is from the 'intense' range and so this stick has a lot more staying power than the lighter shade.

As you can see from the swatches, Woppin' Watermelon is very sheer (which I love) and leaves a beautiful pink tint to the lips. I found that I had to keep reapplying this throughout the day because it is quite sheer and the staying power was not as good as Grandest Grape. That is understandable though, as Grandest Grape is from the 'intense' range and a little definitely goes a long way!

All in all I was really pleased with both of these products as they are both really lovely colours. Grandest Grape has amazing staying power and stays on for hours. After the shiny-ness wears away, it starts to look like a lip stain which is great as for me it did not budge while I ate or drank. I am also in love with the Woppin' Watermelon as although the staying power wasn't amazing, it is still a lovely, light, girly colour!

Have you guys tried out any chubby sticks from Clinique before? If so, what did you think of them?xox
